Many believers want to walk in spiritual authority, but few stop to ask a crucial question: Am I aligned with God’s will? Authority and alignment go hand in hand. Yes, Jesus has given us authority over the works of the enemy. Yes, we have power through His name. But spiritual authority is most effective when it flows from a life of obedience, surrender, and submission to God. Before you rebuke the enemy, ask yourself: Am I resisting God in an area of my life? Before you expect power to flow through you, consider: Am I walking in alignment with what He has already told me to do? God’s authority is not a substitute for obedience. It is strengthened by it. When we submit ourselves to God, we position ourselves to operate from a place of divine authority rather than human effort. Alignment invites God’s power to flow through our lives in a greater measure. The question isn’t simply, “Do I have authority?” The question is, “Am I submitted to the One who gave it to me?” Take inventory today. Where is God calling you to greater obedience, surrender, and alignment? Have you ever noticed how easy it is to run to God when life is falling apart, but drift from Him when everything feels okay? Many of us know how to pray in a crisis. We know how to search the Word when we need direction. We know how to call on Him when we are desperate for an answer. But beloved, God is not just an emergency contact. He is the lover of your soul. The Lord desires more than a crisis-centered relationship. He desires intimacy. He wants your heart, not just your request. He wants your presence, not only your problems. A Christ-centered relationship is built when we come to Him simply because we love Him. Not because we need something. Not because we are afraid. Not because we are in trouble. But because He is worthy of our time, our attention, and our affection. Let this be a gentle reminder: do not wait for a crisis to seek Him. Build with Him daily. Sit with Him. Talk with Him. Worship Him. Let your relationship with God become rooted in love, not just need. ChristianWomen ChristianEncouragement BiblicalTruth SeekGodFirst
Join me tomorrow evening at 9pm for a powerful virtual conversation with @womanpray_ and @pastorqwynn as we talk about marriage. 💍 This is a topic that is very dear to my heart. This year, I am blessed to be going on 41 years of marriage, and through the years, I have learned that marriage is more than a beautiful wedding day. It is covenant, it is ministry, and it is daily work done with love, grace, patience, and God at the center. As a marriage counselor, a wedding officiant, and someone who has been blessed help strengthen, repair, and rebuild marriages, I am looking forward to sharing wisdom, encouragement, and biblical truth for every woman who desires to understand marriage through God’s eyes. We will be talking about Christ-centered marriage, love languages, covenant, communication, and what it really means to build after the wedding day. Whether you are married, preparing for marriage, believing God for marriage, or simply desire a healthier understanding of covenant love, I would love for you to join me. Wednesday, May 20 9 PM EST Virtual Event Registration is free at www.womanpray.com
Spiritual authority is not personal power. It is delegated authority through Jesus Christ. Many believers struggle to walk in authority because they are measuring themselves by their feelings, insecurity, past mistakes, or current condition. But your authority is not based on how strong you feel. It is based on who you are in Christ. Luke 10:19 reminds us that Jesus has given believers authority over all the power of the enemy. That means you do not have to wait until you feel qualified to stand in what Christ has already given you. True spiritual authority begins with identity, flows through submission, and is exercised by faith. Save this post as a reminder: You are not powerless. You are positioned in Christ.
